TMDisplay has just unveiled the 2.2″ OLED panel that manages to squeeze out QVGA quality graphics with a lifetime of 60,000 hours (more than enough to last you until the device it comes with is long outdated) and sips just 100mW of juice when in use. This tiny OLED panel will enter production from March 2009 onwards, targeting handsets primarily along with other mobile devices. I would say smaller portable media players will be a huge chunk of the market as well. TMDisplay has yet to decide the scale of production as at press time.
