ViewSonic VX2265wm Prototype LCD Monitor

With the Olympics having concluded a couple of days ago, it must be noted that not only sports are obsessed with fast times – geeks are, too. ViewSonic is currently demonstrating the new VX2265wm 22″ prototype LCD monitor that boasts an extremely fast refresh rate of 120Hz. Other features available are :-

• Professional Color Certification
• 1,680 x 1,050 resolution
• 300 nits of brightness
• 1,000:1 contrast ratio
• 3ms gray-to-gray response time
• Dual DVI
• Integrated stereo speakers

For the layman, those figures translate to superior picture changes, a lower incidence of ghosting as well as less motion artifacts. It is currently compatible with NVIDIA’s GeForce Stereoscopic 3D gaming technology, but ViewSonic holds a wider view by placing the VX2265wm to target entertainment, computer animation and precision graphic sectors. No idea on pricing, but the VX2265wm is tipped to hit retail stores later this year.
