Wooden Cellphone Mod

This one sure looks like a basic cell phone mod, though if you’re a beginner, it might just interest you. This user probably decided his cell phone needed to get a little closer to nature, so he stripped the phone and encased it within a wooden cover. The only thing is that there is no mention of any replacement keypad. So are we supposed to use the phone as it is in the picture?
