Altec Lansing has announced The Orbit, a rotund mobile iPod speaker. Better known by its model name and number, The Orbit MP3 iM237, this single speaker measures roughly the size of two hockey pucks that have been stacked atop one another, and will be able to run for 24 hours non-stop thanks to a trio of AAA batteries. It comes with a hideaway cord for less mess when traveling, plugging into the headphone jack on most MP3 players, and is compatible with iPods and iPhones as well. Each $39.95 purchase comes with a protective carrying case. Do you think it is worth that much cash to splurge on?
