Dell is set to refresh its display range with a second model known as the S2209W. This could be the odd one standing out from its group of 22″ displays as it features a ratio of 16:9 and has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, which is perfect for Full Definition viewing. This is in stark contrast to most 22″ LCD monitors that come with 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1,680 x 1,050. The Dell S2209W is tipped to offer a fair fight for professional Eizo displays, offering visual editors yet another option when it comes to monitor purchases. There is no word on a shipping date, although the driver page with software for the S2209W has already been up at Dell Europe since late August.
