Capturxâ„¢ Forms for Excel is a combination of hardware (the pen) and software that allows things written in forms to be transferred automatically to an excel spreadsheet. Capturx converts excel forms into a paper version that can be printed on ordinary paper. From there, forms can be filled with the digital pen like one would with a normal pen. The software can then convert the hand-writing into ASCII in the excel sheet. That might make things easier to many people who still use paper-based forms at a cost that has to be lower than equipping everyone with PDAs or tablet PCs. I wonder what the error rate is in the hand-writing recognition as it seems to be the weakest link in this process.
