Gdium Netbook Prides Itself In Being Different

Most netbooks these days are just differentiated by their form factor and manufacturer, but otherwise, most of the stuff underneath the hood remains the same. Gdium aims to change that with their netbook, running on Linux instead of many rivals that use Windows XP, while featuring a G-Key – a removable USB stick that is required to run the netbook. The main reason behind this is the operating system and applications are stored on the G-Key itself, but woe to you if you lose your G-Key due to a moment of carelessness. As for the operating system, this one is developed from Mandriva Linux and will ship with pre-installed open source software to cater for your browsing, email, IM and VOIP needs.
