Iomega has had some pretty sleek looking storage devices in the past, and this time their eGo line is augmented by the release of the Helium, a 2.5″ portable hard drive that was specially designed to work hand in hand with the MacBook Air. The anodized aluminum case holds up to 320GB of storage space, and also boasts the ability to use an online backup service for cloud computing purposes. Just like the MacBook Air, the eGo Helium is pretty slim at less than 1″ thick, and it tips the scales at 7 ounces. Best of all is its relative toughness, being able to withstand drops from 4′ 3″ onto industrial carpeting without suffering any internal damage.
