iPhone controlled R/C car from Josef Pruša on Vimeo.
The iPhone’s not only good for taking calls, watching video and adding your desirability factor by two notches, it also works great as a remote control when hacked properly. It does not rely on standard virtual control buttons to get the RC car moving, but instead uses multi-touch and tilt sensing features of the iPhone to get the job done. This data will be sent to the computer via Wi-Fi from the iPhone, which will then relay the signal to the original RC remote that controls the vehicle. Well, if you have a spare iPhone lying around, why not give this fun weekend project a go?
