Kyocera is currently working on another solar power plant project for Avanzalia of Spain, and when completed, this will be one of the largest solar power plants in the world. Currently, the plant in the Castile-La Mancha region of the Spanish province of Cuenca is already able to pump out 18 MW of juice, more than enough to power 9,200 households. The new solar power plant being built will see 89,320 Kyocera photo voltaci modules installed, using 3,300 tonnes of steel and taking up a surface area of 80 hectares – that’s larger than 100 football fields!
