Lenovo knows that being green is the new buzzword, and hence have released a slew of new monitors that aim to keep Mother Nature and Greenpeace activists happy. First off we have the 17″ L1700p that consumes 30% less juice and has 50% less mercury compared to standard models, while the L1940 shares the same benefits with a rated power usage of 16W at minimum and 23W at maximum – pretty impressive for a 19″ display. Guess the 33% less power and 50% less mercury is a recurring theme in this new range, with the L2240p and L2440x following suit despite being larger in size. All these new monitors are EnergyStar 4.0-compliant and stand at EPEAT-Gold level status.
