The Mini Crossover concept is pretty mind boggling – you get a 3D globe that uses laser technology to merge all entertainment, communication and navigational features in a vehicle into a single touch screen interface. The globe is split into hemispheres, enabling the driver to view a map while passengers have the luxury of going online. Laser projection is used to display information (both text and graphical formats) in multiple layers within the globe. You can choose to touch the globe to navigate the user interface, or rely on the trackball that is located on the steering wheel instead. I hope that drivers won’t get too distracted with the Mini Crossover concept should it be realized, lest they get involved in a nasty accident.
