The One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) organization has come to an understanding with Amazon to sell its extremely cheap laptops over the Internet from late November onwards, allowing folks to purchase the XO laptops for personal use or to donate to a school located in a developing nation. This program will begin later this November and will run for approximately a month long. Those who want to contribute to this altruistic cause but reside outside of the US are out of luck though. In related news, the OLPC is already working on a new generation of the XO laptop that should see the light of day in 2010.
