
The Palit Radeon HD 4870 features great performance for the price, but this board has the particularity of having four video output options: Analog VGA, DVI (dual-link), HDMI (HDCP) and DisplayPort. That gives it a good potential for a multi-purpose high-end PC (Gaming PC + Home Theater PC). If you’re really picky on performance, you can push the GPU to 775Mhz (from 750Mhz), but honestly who cares at that point? Also, I do like the cooling: that looks like two (low-rpm) 80mm fans and I’m sure that they are a lot quieter than the small (fast-spinning) ones found on other boards…
