Panasonic rolls back the years with the RX-MDX83 audio system that not only features a CD player, it also comes with a MD player (those were pretty big in Japan back at its heyday) as well as a cassette deck. Time to bust out all those old boxes in the attic and see whether your tapes of New Kids on the Block still work or not. Best of all is, you can transfer tracks from a CD to a MD disc at 6x write speed. The RX-MDX83 won’t bring down the house with an output power of 2 x 3W, but it ought to be enough for personal use in your bedroom. It will be available this October 17th for approximately €230. For those who have long burnt their cassette collection, you can opt for the RX-MDX63 that drops the cassette deck.
