Panasonic Toughbook W8 Targets Mobile Professionals

Next up on Panasonic’s Toughbook list is the W8 that comes with a long lasting battery without compromising on performance, making it equally useful on the airline tray (make sure you’re flying Business Class if you want to have enough elbow room) as it is in the board room. Some of the specifications are :-

  • Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 1.20GHz processor
  • 1GB DDR2 SDRAM (max. 4GB)
  • 120GB shock-mounted hard drive
  • Integrated DVD Multi drive
  • 12.1″ 1,024 x 768 XGA anti-glare TFT active matrix color LCD
  • TPM Security Chip v1.2
  • Intel WiFi Link 5100 802.11a/b/g/draft-n
  • Genuine Windows Vista Business (with XP downgrade option)
  • Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR connectivity
  • Optional integrated Gobi 3G global mobile Internet (EV-DO and HSPA)

If you fancy picking up the Toughbook W8, it will be available this November from $2,099 upwards.
