Philips Xenium X500

Philip’s latest cell phone, the Xenium 500, follows the footsteps of its brethren by boasting a long battery life thanks to a 1720 mAh battery that supposedly offers a talk time of 16 hours as well as a standby time of 2 months(!). In addition, it is touted to last for 40 hours where continuous music playback is concerned – sounds amazing, no? Guess the long lasting battery is also due to the fact that you won’t find too many snazzy features on the Xenium X500 as detailed below :-

  • GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 MHz
  • 1.8″ TFT display with 262k colors
  • Music player
  • Integrated FM radio with RDS
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording capability
  • 10MB internal memory
  • microSD memory card slot

The Philips Xenium X500 will arrive in China first, followed by Russia and other Eastern European countries with no mention of the west. Pricing has yet to be determined either.
