Google’s Picasa 3.0 beta is already available, and this new version will merge with the Interwibble-based Web Albums set-up to propogate the idea of sharing, featuring a new range of tagging features which will help you itemize your photos according on who appears in them. This software can be automatically configured to update your web albums the moment you introduce new images to your library, while giving you full control over who can see them and who can’t. In addition, there are new editing tools that will help you detect and fix red-eye pictures, while extra merge, collage and movie making widgets make life much more interesting.
