RED is attempting to overthrow the old guard of digital cameras including Nikon, Canon and others by working on a new DSLR that won’t replace any existing RED products, but instead function as a separate device that will feature higher resolution, higher S/N, higher DNR, higher frame rates, smaller bodies, more system flexibility, and many more options. Unfortunately, all of this is but hot air at the moment since the final product will be released later next year.
