Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 SDK launched

The SDK for the most anticipated Windows Mobile phone is out. With it, developers can start working on the new front-end interface that this phone has. The SDK runs on visual studio, which is probably used by the immense majority of Windows Mobile developers out there. As usual, there’s no need to have an actual device to get started: the XPERIA X1 is emulated on a PC, although I’m not sure if the mouse is really a replacement for the touch display. What I know is: it’s much easier to debug on an emulator.

For consumer, this is yet another sign that the launch is close. Various rumors have placed it in Q4 this year or early next year. I guess that we will know for sure next week at CTIA San Francisco!
