Toshiba’s MKxx29GSG series of hard drives might not look like much from outside, but within this diminutive 1.8″ hard drive you will be able to store up to 250GB worth of data, spinning at 5,400rpm – specifications that place it firmly at the top of the food chain where 1.8″ hard drives are concerned. Measuring a mere 8mm thin, this 3Gbps SATA hard drive targets ultra portable laptops (or maybe netbooks, even) that require zippy data access by your applications. It will be mass produced from November onwards, so we ought to see this in action sometime next year.
