The Wii is relatively hack proof to date, and has managed to hold its own against homebrew alteration, but somebody managed to find a way to fix certain bricked consoles by dumping the Wii into a special recovery mode, enabling it to gain access to backup discs and run homebrew code. You will need a specially modified GameCube memory card for the process though, and that shouldn’t be too hard to find. It makes for interesting thought as to why a Wii would be bricked in the first place, hmm?
