Folks using BlackBerries can now look forward to Windows Live Search being integrated within the BlackBerry Maps application, and it will also be built straight into the browser itself. Hopefully this will appear as an option from the home screen’s drop-down menu, sitting comfortably near Google, Wikipedia and Dictionary.com. This is an interesting twist, since we all know that Microsoft and Google don’t play nice with each other, and seeing RIM being close to Google in recent times makes this development all the more surprising. Still, it is nice to see such a development happen, and it is most likely that the updated software will be out along with an operating system patch release later this month.
