Yahoo! oneSearch Hits AT&T Phones

AT&T and Yahoo! have teamed up to allow mobile Internet searches made on AT&T’s on-deck MEdia Net portal to use Yahoo!’s oneSearch engine. The Yahoo! oneSearch engine is more than capable of delivering the right and relevant data when it comes to various categories such as news, financial information, weather conditions, Flickr photos and Web images, Web and mobile web sites. According to Yahoo!, their search engine will also display relevant ringtones, wallpaper, games and other content available in the AT&T MEdia Mall within search results, hence saving time on the subscriber’s part when it comes to searching for downloadable content. Sounds pretty interesting, but will cell phone search like this be a market big enough to topple Google? I don’t think so.
