Apple developers should be happy this weekend. Apple Insider says the devs were provided with new test release of an iPhone software update.
They received the iPhone Software 2.2 beta 2 along with a new version of the iPhone SDK with support for hardware accessories that provide audio input to the iPhone and iPod touch. Some expected features of the new software:
- Add Google Street Views to the handset’s built-in Maps application.
- Include option to turn off the iPhone’s text auto-correction
- Support for Japanese emoticons.
