Gizmodo reports that Apple will discontinue the Mac Mini and that this could be made official during the quarterly conference call today (the information comes from European retailers). The Mac mini has been the worse-selling computer for some time, so its death would not be surprising. Steve Jobs also mentioned recently that laptops might make up for the bulk of Apple sales in the future. The reality is: the Mac mini is cute, but once connected it still generates the same amount of cable clutter than a “normal” computer. Also, people have been complaining about its price, performance and upgradability.
