At last, Asus has rolled out the P522w PDA phone that is the first of its kind to be powered by Glide, an innovative touch sensitive user interface which aims to make navigation a snap. All the specifications were spot on in our earlier post on the P522w, so it remains only a matter of time before it makes an appearance at the FCC offices for a stamp of approval. It would be interesting to see how the iPhone’s UI, HTC’s TouchFLO 3D and Glide go up against each other. While I don’t think the P522w will cause a huge dent in the iPhone market, it could be a springboard for future, better iterations.
