Chi Mei EL Develops Super Thin 25-inch Display

Slim is in, but we never expected Taiwanese company Chi Mei EL to go the distance with their new 25″ display which measures less than a millimeter thick! This display does not skimp on performance either, featuring a resolution of 1,366 pixels by 768 pixels (WXGA) with the ability to display up to 16.7 million colors simultaneously. This beats its previous prototype by a good 300% or so, thanks to a new production method. It would be interesting to see just what kind of devices will embrace this new display, although that would mean thinner pockets.
