Comcast is looking forward to expanding its 50 Mbps Internet service to selected new markets, with prices starting from $139.95 monthly onwards. This wideband offering will slowly be available throughout the country, and is currently available in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, with plans to go online in certain segments of New England, parts of Philadelphia and New Jersey over the next few weeks. Comcast hopes to make this service available in 10 major markets over the following months, thanks to Comcast upgrading its fiber network to DOCSIS 3.0.
