Dell Inspiron Mini 12 (1210) officially appears on Dell's site (specifications)

The product page is not up (yet), but info have leaked via the official setup guide and the maintenance manual. I like the 12.1″ format but we’ll have to see how heavy it gets. It runs Ubuntu (Linux) or Windows Vista – although I wish that there was an XP option or XP drivers… Vista tend to suck on Netbooks. Here are the highlights:

  • 12″, 1280×800 display
  • 1.3 Megapixel webcam
  • 1.8″ Hard disk (unknown capacity)
  • Low-power 1.33 to 1.6Ghz Intel Atom CPU (512KB cache, 533Mhz FSB)
  • 1GB RAM
  • Intel GMA 500 graphics (HD video acceleration)
  • 10/100 Ethernet
  • WIFI B/G
  • 3G option, (possibly WiMax too)
  • VGA port
  • 3-cell or 6-cell battery
  • Ubuntu (linux) or Windows Vista
  • Price: unknown

So, what do you think of having a 12.1″ display in a netbook?
