Dell UK is offering its Inspiron Mini 9 netbook that will be pwoered by Ubuntu 8.04, although the lack of configuration options will come across as highly annoying since you will be limited to just the 8GB model. Those who want to settle for the 16GB version will have to ditch Linux in favor of Windows XP instead. Other features are as follows, regardless of the operating system of choice :-
- Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor
- 1GB RAM
- 8.9″ display at 1,024 x 600 resolution
- VGA webcam
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Bluetooth support
You can pick up the 16GB XP-powered Mini 9 for £299, while the 8GB Linux version goes for £269.
