Epson Joins Netbook Market With MiniNote

Epson has finally caved in to the pressure and entered the netbook market with its MiniNote model which will be powered by Windows XP, leaving no room for a Linux version. Some specifications of the MiniNote include :-

  • Windows XP Home SP3
  • Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor
  • 10.2” WSVGA screen (1024 x 600 resolution)
  • 945GSE Express Video Chipset
  • 1GB SDRAM
  • 160GB SATA hard drive
  • Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity

You can pick up the Epson MiniNote in Japan sometime next month for a yet undisclosed price.
