Epson has just rolled out a new 3.5″ amorphous silicon TFT (a-TFT) liquid-crystal display (LCD) that will see use in mobile devices. The a-TFT LCD will feature Epson’s very own Photo Fine Vistarich Neo wide viewing angle technology that boasts improved transmittance and contrast, producing superb still and moving images no matter which angle it is viewed from, as long as you remain within 80 degrees. Samples of the new a-TFT LCD will begin to ship in February 2009, so we can expect to see new devices boasting this display sometime before next year is over – hopefully.
