Home > CellPhones > Firefox coming to Windows Mobile ‘in weeks’

Two days ago, Mozilla’s CEO John Lilly confirmed that Firefox Mobile was on the way and should appear as an “Alpha” (early test) version “in a few weeks”. However, today’s news is that Windows Mobile is planned to be among the first platform to get the new builds – unless Mozilla plans to launch all platforms at once. The world learned the news from Mozilla developer Mark Finkles who wrote:

“Work on Windows Mobile has heated up quite a bit. We should be getting some Fennec builds for Windows Mobile soon.”
