Researchers who have been busting their rear ends on the European ROLLED project have successfully developed a flexible OLED element which is able to be mass produced using roll-to-roll printing technology. This means such OLED elements can be utilized to add value to product packages, and is widely considered to be much cheaper compared to traditional manufacturing methods.
