
Google’s engineers never seem to run out of inspiration, and their latest efforts have resulted in an even more accurate location thanks to the feature known as My Location with Wi-Fi. What this feature does is allow anyone with a Wi-Fi enabled device to figure out exactly where they are using nearby Wi-Fi access points. According to Google, “Since the range of a Wi-Fi access point is smaller than that of a cell phone tower, this often results in a much more accurate position.” Unfortunately for many other people, how many of you are actually living in a truly metropolitan area that boasts Wi-Fi connectivity just around the corner of each block?
