Iomega is a name famous for backup solutions, and this time round they’re offering the new Iomega StorCenter ix2 which allows one to configure up to 2TB of storage and advanced information management, protection and sharing software with just a quartet of mouse clicks. The footprint of the ix2 is smaller than a large dictionary, and with prices starting from $299.99 upwards, it sounds as though you have a pretty good deal here. Home users will be able to take advantage of the Universal Plug and Play support, while Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) certified devices can also function with the StorCenter ix2 in order to save, store, and play back a bunch of multimedia files. Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux platforms, you will be able to pick up the 1TB and 2TB versions for $299.99 and $479.99, respectively.
