Japan Chatted For 1.889 Billion Hours In 2007

A report by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Japan has stated that Japanese spent a total of 1.899 billion hours tlaking on the phone for the entire year of 2007, which is a 4.5% increase over the previous year. This is also the first time in Japanese history where total time of calls made from cell phones exceeded those made from landlines. Another record that was broken was the 6.2% increase in cell phone subscriptions over the previous period that surpassed 100 million, yet another first. Logically speaking, the Japanese ought to surpass the 1.899 billion hours this year – do you think that is an achievable figure?
