NetGear ReadyNAS Pro Range Ships

NetGear has announced it will begin shipping its new ReadyNAS Pro range of network attached storage (NAS) devices, and these will include the first six-bay desktop NAS in the world as well. Targeting both small and medium business entities, you will be able to choose from 1.5TB, 3TB and 6TB capacities. All models can be connect to users via a local or wireless network for storage, back ups and data sharing purposes regardless of the operating platforms involved (Windows, Mac or Linux). Features include support for RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, NetGear’s proprietary auto-expandable X-RAID2 configuration, system monitoring, built-in backup capability, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and the ability to hold up to half a dozen SATA II drives in lockable and hot-swappable disk trays. Prices start from $2,000 upwards.
