O2 has unveiled a new Windows Mobile 6.0-powered handset known as the XDA Mantle, and this one is different from the vast majority of others thanks to the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor for data security purposes. It sure as heck makes life a whole lot easier as well, since you don’t have to worry about forgetting too many passwords. Features of the XDA Mantle include :-
- GPS navigation
- HSDPA connectivity
- Wi-Fi support
- Dual SD memory card slots
- 3 megapixel camera
- 256MB RAM
- 1GB flash memory
- 3.5″ LCD display at 240 x 320 resolution
- Bluetooth connectivity
The XDA Mantle is an offshoot of the HTC P6500 that was introduced a year ago, and will be targeting the corporate market. No word on pricing, but I guess biometric security measures are better compared to writing down a password on bits of paper that drunk executives tend to lose.
