The venerable PlayStation 2 is still around despite the PS3 making some headway in the world of gaming consoles, and Sony has just made this particular platform open – a sign that the console’s on its last legs, but also one that will see a sure spike where low-cost titles are concerned. Hopefully the quality will be there as well, since playing too many turkeys in a sitting could drive a person nuts as the search for a quality game ends in futility. Interested parties will still need to pick up a development kit, but good thing there are no more PS2 licensing fees to concern yourself with.
