PS3 Wiimote Patent Filed

Feast on the strange monstrosity of the patented PS3 Wiimote-like device which can further be split into two for additional alternative gaming methods. The technology used within are pretty much similar to what Nintendo’s Wiimote has, accelerometers, LED-based tracking and all. In addition, this unique controller is also able to deploy ultrasonic frequencies so that the absolute xyz position can be determined. It would be pretty interesting to see how Sony will further expand on this idea in order to give its gaming and entertainment a much needed boost if this ever becomes mainstream.
