I’ve been asking several times over the past few months and finally, the time has come: Qik for Blackberry just launched in alpha a few minutes ago. It won’t work right away on all Blackberry devices. From Qik:
“Qik is initially launching in alpha on the following handsets running Blackberry Operating System 4.5 and above: Blackberry Pearl 8120, Blackberry Pearl 8130 and Blackberry Bold. Support for Blackberry Curve and Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 will be available soon.”
If you’re not familiar with Qik: it is a free live streaming video service that works only on mobile phones. I can’t wait to test it on my Blackberry. For live events, Qik is so much better than YouTube.
