Robots Of CEATEC

Our friends from Akihabaranews managed to capture a fair number of robots who were roaming the showfloor of CEATEC 2008, and they look way more interesting compared to booth babes. Check out the MANOI robot (above left) that attempts to mimic the way fashion models walk. Does that mean supermodels like Naomi Campbell and Gisele Bündchen will be obsolete? I guess not, unless robot fashion takes off in a huge way. As for the Evolta robot on the upper right, it does nothing but climb perpetually (be it up or down), powered by Panasonic’s Evolta batteries (proclaimed to be the longest lasting alkaline battery in the world).
