RoofRay has rolled out a solar widget that enables users to view rooftops using satellite imagery, allowing one to imagine a solar array on a specific rooftop in order to get an estimation for the array installation. With necessity being the mother of all inventions, this widget was the result of users who want speedy access to detailed estimates. RoofRay creator Chris Bura has programme this widget to be used on a website, and it is hoped that it will make solar technology more affordable and accessible to the masses. Those who want to pick up the subscription-based version of the widget will be able to get a quote as well – neat!
