Sharp LCD TV Powered By Solar Energy

Sharp took the opportunity to parade its 52″ LCD TV at the recently concluded CEATEC 2008, and what makes this LCD TV different from the rest is the inclusion of a solar panel at the base which is used to absorb the sun’s rays, converting it into electricity to power your TV. Sure, it won’t be able to run off solar power alone, but it should cut down on your monthly power bill somewhat if you’re an avid couch potato.
