Toshiba Satellite U405 Takes The WiMAX Route

Toshiba has no intention of missing the WiMAX bandwagon with their new Satellite U405-ST550W that will rock forward with Sprint’s high-speed XOHM WiMAX network. Inside this 13.3″ notebook you will find an Intel Centrino 2 chipset as well as Intel’s WiMAX/WiFi Link 5050 Series mobile networking card. Other specifications include the Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 processor, 3GB RAM, a DVD burner, Bluetooth connectivity, a webcam and a microphone. No idea on pricing, but it should be slightly more expensive over a standard spec notebook. Guess the utopian fantasy of remaining connected at uber-fast speeds everywhere is slowly but surely coming true.
