The Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in Taiwan is the platform of choice where the UrbanMax tablet was unveiled to the masses. This is but a concept design that merges both tablet PC and netbook/notebook form factors in a single device. The 11″ display is large enough to be used as a tablet PC, and you can also tilt it to be a netbook as and when the need arises. In tablet mode, it presents a minimal interface but when the touch screen is tilted, you will be reverted to Windows Vista straight away. There is no word on specifications as at press time, but Intel will use SSD in the UrbanMaxx assuming it actually enters production.
