Not having a media center capability is often interpreted as a weakness in today’s console world, but it doesn’t prevent the Wii of leading the pack in terms of units sold. X-oom Media Center for Wii aims at providing a media center experience (not “Windows” Media Center) that’s currently missing. It is an interesting interface for accessing/streaming media files, but it doesn’t allow TV recording (like a PC) or access an online movies/games store (PS3). A first sight, X-oom needs some work on the user-interface design to be sexy. I bet that Nintendo will soon create something like on their own, as they too will want to have an online Wii store and bank on online apps distribution… (like DSiware)
