At long last, the 3.5G version of the Fujitsu U2010 is available in Asia Pacific, specifically Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines. There is no word on pricing since this is fresh off the oven, but you can be sure that staying connected to the Internet isn’t going to be too much of a problem any more. Some features from the specifications sheet are as follows :-
- Embedded 3.5G (HSDPA) WWAN connectivity with dual antenna
- Up to 7.2Mbps downlink
- Supports tri-band UMTS (HSDPA): 850, 1900, and 2100 MHz
- Supports quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
Word has it that all the above will also make an appearance in a U820 model early next year. Hopefully the data plan you’re on is unlimited, or else you’d cry when the monthly bill arrives!
